Fourteenth Crushed Sunday Memusetica

Courtesy of Judd Corizan.

1. Is there someone you'd like to be kissing right now? Not especially.

2. When you're being extremely quiet, what does it mean? I'm stressing about something. If I'm being quiet it's a bad sign.

3. What are you listening to right now? 'The Age of Aquarius'.

4. Are you a big fan of thunderstorms? I'm not fussed, really. I neither like or dislike them. Mad scientists like them. Dogs dislike them. I happen to be neither.

5. Do you believe in perfect? Yes. As Descartes said' I think, therefore, I am'.

6. Are you a jealous person? No. I think one grows out of that. Or should do.

7. What was the first thing you thought this morning? Who's this bird ringing at me this time?

8. What do you think about when you are falling asleep? Last night, believe it or not, whether or not a time will come when human technology means women don't actually have to carry babies for nine months of pregnancy.

9. Are you satisfied with what you have in life? No.

10. Do people ever think that you're either older or younger than you actually are? Yes. It really does depend on whether I've shaved. Always has done.

11. Do you think men truly understand women? I think we understand the theory.

12. How about women understanding men? They don't even understand the theory.

13. Did anybody ever call you handsome or beautiful? (Coy smile) Oh, yes.

14. What is one fact about the last person that called you? I hadn't a clue who she was. She sounded cute though.

15. Other than your current one, what’s the longest relationship you have had? About one and a half years. To me, that's a long time. Between one and three months is standard. The novelty tends to wear off after that. One starts to get the wanderlust.

And that's it for this week!

My apparent age depends on my shaving or not as well. I've still got something of a baby face under the beard.

I agree with you. After a year, move on. I don't usually last very long in a relationship either. Loved the videos...

I like thunderstorms.

Regarding your previous post about 666. I think there are lots of misinterpretations in the Bible - deliberate and accidental.

I love thunderstorms too. (Like EK)
They are stimulating and soothing all at the same time for me.

Crushed, I love thunderstorms. I go look at the lightening, makes me feel wonderful in some weird way. Not a mad scientist though, not even got a white lad coat ^_^

As for your “don’t understand the theory”!!. Who do you think your are kidding? As usual a guy prefers their theory to the actual facts ‘cos they figure it’s so much neater.

I figure you’ll find women don’t understand your theory because it’s flawed and does not fit the facts. They have a good rule of thumb empirical working knowledge though.

Charles- I don't really have a baby face, it's more that I have quite a boyish physique and demeanour in many ways. But I have quite thick stubble.
Even when I WAS a teen, if hadn't shaved for a few hours, people seriously mistook me for late twenties. That and the fact that I guess I was quite a worldly wise late teen, even if I behaved in a fairly irresonspible way by and large.

Bud- Time was when I felt one had to at least try. Now my view is, just go with the flow. Don't take them so seriously.

E-K- Well, the cursing of Canaan would be one such. It was used to justify slavery.

Another lesser known one is the fact the fact that if you read closely, God does actually destroy ALL the cities of the plains, not just Sodom and Gomorrah.

And of course, most of the biblical prophecies don't refer to Jesus at all.

Candy Minx- I guess I just answer themj as they come. It gives me a chance to be totally flippant. :)

Welshcakes- Not for me. :)
Seriously, I have trouble sleeping. Most nights I go to bed pretty stressed, so I try get my mind onto other things. So I usually tryu think about hypotheticals.
Even so, it still usually takes me an hour or so to get to sleep. And sometimes more.

Moggs- I meant the theory behind the other sex...

What I mean is, I think men understand women in a theoretical sense. I think we're all very good at offering eachother advice on women which tends to pan out. But it never works out when you apply it yourself. We have an understanding of women on paper, but that's it.

Women however, seem to just not even have theories to explain large parts of male thinking. They seem to understand practical realities such as 'I'm off out, I'll only have the one'. Means 'I'll be back in about six hours and I'll probably be pissed', but I think they find a lot of male behaviour, especially as it relates to males with other males incomprehensible.

I liked number 9 - about figuring out another way for babies to be made - other than women carrying them!

"I think they [sic. women]find a lot of male behaviour... incomprehensible."

Two possibilities here:

1. Women just don't 'get' men.

2. It is.
