So Those Blogpower Awards... What do they Mean?

Very nice it was to meet and chat to those bloggers I talked to today. Some conversations especially, were well worth having.

Picture nicked from Shades of Grey.

Anyway, I think it was a good day, and it showed some of the positives that all the people who were there, are part of daily, in the lives of other people.

We are doing something good, we are sharing opinions. And listening.
That's what today meant.

My opinion is that this should go further. There are many more good blogs out there, which not enough of you are reading.
Blogs which have something to say.

I have two memes to pass on tonight. One is from Mutley.

Here it is;
1. Each player must post these rules first.
2. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
3. People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
4. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
5. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

If you want to see my random facts, they're over there. So.

I need eight.
So that's the seven of you who have voted 'No' so far in this week's poll (Be honest!!!).
And Number Eight?

Jenny, I did promise!!
That means Jenny of Blog This.

Second meme is to seven bloggers I think Blogpower needs.
I think this seven are quality blogs.
Blogs I think should be supported.

These blogs should apply to join Blogpower, and that's my tag.

1. David Anthony Republic.
2. Bags Rants.
3. Unravelling the Spiritual Mystique.
4. CitiZENMINDful.
5. Sanity Optional.
6. Life on the Far Side.
7. Electro-Kevin.

Is there a naked person in that picture? Trust me to pick up on it.

I think with the eight things, you have to supply eight random things first. You said "If you want to see my random facts, they're over there." Without actually providing where 'there' was.

Duh. I get it now. My bad. I'd like to take this moment to remind you that I forgave you for being slow. *puppy dog eyes*

phishez, After looking at your puppy eyes I'm sure CBI forgives you for this and many other things to come :)

CBI. You are nothing if not persistant. Are you on commission?

Anonymous said...

Bag - you too huh? And here I was thinking I was special.

Anonymous said...

Oh, I should so kick your ass on this one! |(

Phish- Were you a 'No' voter?
No, you weren't if I remember from your comments. the other one is for you.
OF COURSE you are special- One of my special seven.
Always forgiven, phish...
(Those Puppy Dog eyes...)
Don't let me down...:)

Bag- Not in this instance.
Still not wearing you down? New tactics needed...

Heart- You'll have to find me first!!!
Seriously, I felt it praise deserved.

Anonymous said...

Careful Phishez, I hear he is in love with a red head..and you know what tempers we have. :)

Anonymous said...

Praise, yes. Tag, no... *sigh*

Oh, and don't worry, I will find you, and then I'll kick you into next week!

Anonymous said...

Thanks! Will get right on that thing!

Electro-Kevin and Sanity Optional are already shortlisted. Phishez Rule is in my sights and I was with Bag and a woefully underdressed Anais just now.

Well I missed the awards... due to a power cut.

I love Heart of Darkness.. if you look bacl you can see I commented by her for months and months and months... But still she won't sleep with me. Thats not fair is it?

Anonymous said...

Ego- Spreading salacious gossip again! I keep telling you, I'm really a Dominican monk, dwelling in the monastery of St Etienne, deep in the Austrian Alps.

Heart- Promises, promises!

Jenny- Well, bearing in mind you pretty much demanded to be in the next meme list...
Eight more bits of goss on Jenny...

James- Two very deserving blogs, both providing angles of the bloggosphere that BP needs more of, INMHO.

Mutley- I can't really judge that, I'm afraid. I've never met Ms Darkness, but her writing conveys beauty. Like Alexys, a blog that went from first discovery to blogroll and plug in a few short steps.
Credit where its due.

Hi, Crushed. It was great to meet you there and, like you, I think we did something rather important.

Anonymous said...

I believe the way to tag people is to NAME them :)

That's part of the job.

It would be nice if there was somewhere permanent to convene in SL, all I seem to find are empty spaces and dancing shows.

Anonymous said...

Did I? God, I should lay off the drugs.

Anonymous said...

Welshcakes- Your dancing impressed us all, I think.
It was nice so many came.

Lord N- I'm guessing you're one of the 'No' voters...
Shall I consider you tagged :)

David- Tom has his airships et al. I have yet to find a pub in there. Better yet, one where I can still have a fag.

Jenny- Only you can be the judge of that :)

I did actually vote no. No at the moment. Legalising needs to be well thought out and at the moment there isn't enough detail.

What are you going to do now that you have nine 'no' voters?

Anonymous said...

Wondered why you didn't post them on your blog, but after clicking on Mutley's blog for the first time, I'm quite grateful that you decided to direct everyone over to him. He's an engrossing read.

Hah, from one of your previous posts, I should have guessed about the black girls! ;-)
