On the whole I suppose you love where you live because you have a local pub (previous post). That's so important is it not ?
Some interesting facts about you here.
You loud? A man of strong opinons? I am shocked. A hope you had a great weekend...
Interesting what EK says - I like my local enough that it would be hard to move away from its radius even though I have only lived in the area for 18 months.
Its odd that you dont know the relevance of hot dogs...
ha!
i do enjoy a bit of randomness - thanks for sharing that.
but i have to ask -
So This Is Christmas?
are you c-raazy?
that song makes me feel like i'm bleeding from my ears. plus it gets stuck in your head for hours after you listen to it.
You can't whistle?
really? or are you fibbing?
you'd probably need to be able to whistle to make it on 'survivor'.
handy if you're being attacked by crocs.
oh! mmmmmm dime bars.
i'd forgotten about those!
crisp toffee crunch with a covering of chocolate.
Wow, this was a long one. Some of the answers made me laugh out loud.
Who indeed calls at 8.46 am on Sunday?
adding layers are we. not much came as a suprise though, so either you're losing the ability to suprise, or I'm just not easily suprised anymore...
kinder egg? cool. I gave them up abt 15 years ago.. but pez, i still get em.
love the children's names. i do hope you have children just so those names don't go to waste.
E-K- Very much so, I think.
It's important to feel a sense of roots somehow. I think I've only recently discovered that. i've felt kind of rootless for much of my life.
I'm re-reading trying to see which ones are interesting...
Bud- :) It has been said...
It had its moments. I'm kind of in a contemplative frame of mind.
Blue Eyes- I suppose its because a pub is all we have left of our sense of community belonging. The rest of the world has become somewhat amorphous. Corporate ethos taps into it, but in our hearts we know it to be hollow...
Mutley- You'll have to explain it to me...
On second thoughts...
Projectivist- Bleeding from your ears????
The only one pretty much that DOESN't make my skin crawl. Though I like the Slade 'Here it is, Merry Xmas' as well.
I can't whistle, no. Not sure why.
I really don't know why I like Dime bars. But they are good.
jmb- Well, it beats my Gran who used to think 10.30 on a Friday night was an EXcellent time...
I guess I was in quite a dry frame of mind whebn I did this. It probably shows :)
Crashie- I've noticed I've lost the power to shock you any longer, crashie. What is the world coming to?
I get them for the toys...
I need something to play with in places can't smoke.
Benji- I have been told they're quite pretensious. :)
Still, I don't see why we can't bring names from LOTR into the mainstream.
I think they're often more beautiful sounding names than the biblical names we sem so set on.
And don't get me started on parents who inflict 'Tucker' on their offspring.
